Remanufactured Power Steering Components

When you purchase a remanufactured power steering gear or pump from Hydra-Steer, you will receive the finest component in the industry.

Dynotesting

All gears and pumps that we remanufacture are first dynotested to give us an idea of the nature of the failure. Our "DynaSteer Analyzer" test equipment that we use in our Edmonton and Calgary facilities are the only two test benches of their kind in Western Canada. Once the unit has been rebuilt, we dynotest it again under simulated road conditions to ensure that it meets OE specs.

OE Approved Parts

Only product which is approved by the original equipment supplier is used in our remanufactured units. Quality control demands that we use product from OE manufacturers like Eaton, Saginaw, TRW/Ross, and Sheppard instead of generic, off-shore products.

Unlike other steering box rebuilders, we have taken the stand that we will not purchase seals, bearings, gaskets, gears, or other products from low quality, generic sources in order to save 10 cents on an item. We don't know of any parts distributor or truck shop that wants to face a customer comeback because he installed a steering box with a generic gear or no-name seal that failed.

We take pride in our name and our product and will provide only the highest quality remanufacturing unit. Volume purchasing aallows us to buy and sell OEM product at the right price with no need to settle for inferior-quality parts.

Same day or Overnight Service (Western Canada only)

Hydra-Steer has rebuilding and testing facilities in both Edmonton and Calgary, and can "repair and return" your component usually within 24 hours. If you need it faster, our inventory of current production exchange units is Western Canada's largest. "Obsolete" and out-of-production units are a large part of our inventory, allowing us to service a wide range of customers with older equipment including service rigs, agricultural and mining vehicles.
